Why don’t I like Based Rollup’s expansion of the roadmap, is it wrong?

author:Potuz, developer source: x,@potuz_eth translation: good Ouba, Bitchain vision world

In the current situation, I have a considerable view of the ROLLUP solution based on the data on the chain. I think the L2 Preconfirmations is just the empty pavilion (let’s say so).But I thinkThe Rollup vision based on the data on the chain is correct, but it is just an out of reach. The brief discussion will explain the reason.

People complain about Rollow’s user experience (UX) and the problem of decentralization of liquidity. They are right.L2 is operated by companies that pursue interests. Even if these companies are completely consistent with Ethereum and sincerely seek expansion L1, they will be inspired to capture activities. They want Uniswap to run on their L2, and they want to quickly access the L1 state so that users can get a better experience during the bridge. They can even have different components, as long as you don’t leave L2, they can operate well.Think about the orbit chain of Arbitrum or Superchain of Optimism.

butRollup should not require driving activities, they should only drive execution. They should not be a place where people are traded by Uniswap. Uniswap should send dense computing to Rollup, but actual activities (and their assets) should stay on L1.

In a sense, rollup should just be L1’s collaborator, L1 can transfer some calculations that do not need atomicity and allow a slightly weak security to be transferred to Rollup (either trust the zero -knowledge certification system or trust the 1/n assumption of the verification device). In this hypothetical world, users will send transactions on L1. Their ETH is used in exchange for pixels or other. Any calculations will be performed on a certain L2, but ETH and monkeys will stay on L1 on L1Essence

In this hypothetical world, L1 hopes to quickly access the L2 status instead of in turn.It hopes to get a callback from the transaction on L2.It hopes to have a special operating code to trigger the execution on L2 (yes, which will inevitably lead to a solid Rollup solution).Flashbot’s Suave vision is not far from this (but the trust assumptions of the trust of the side chain, some trusted execution environments (Tee) and Intel). Moreover, if you have to say, Rollup based on the data on the chain seems to be more compatible with this vision than those who pursue activities.

If the ROLLUP project based on the chain is open to build a L1 collaborator, I will be more optimistic about it, and I will even temporarily accept the decentralized lie (all the pre -recognized design I have ever seen is compared to centralized than centralization. The credible sorter is worse).
