According to local media reports,The Nigerian High Court rejected the lawsuit filed by Nadeem Anjarwalla, the manager of the Binance area.Anjarwalla accused Nigerian government agencies infringing his basic rights when he detained him and seized his passport.

On June 19, Judge Inyang Ekwo ruled that Anjarwalla’s lawsuit against the National Security Consultant Office (NSA) and the Economic and Financial Criminal Committee (EFCC), the reason was “lack of serious prosecution.”Anjarwalla or the defendant’s legal representatives did not appear in court.

Binance executives defend their rights

Anjarwalla filed a lawsuit on March 28, demanding that the behavior of these institutions was illegal.Binance’s lawyer Tonye Krukrubo asked to withdraw from the case while filed a lawsuit.

According to Nairametrics Nairametrics, Krukrubo made this request to make Anjarwalla hire other representatives.Anjarwalla did not appear in court at the time because he had escaped and fled to Kenya. The court suspended the lawsuit until June 19, and during this period, Anjarwalla should hire new representatives.

Anjarwalla insisted in the lawsuit that government agencies violated the Nigerian Constitution in 1999 (revised) Article 35 (1) and (4).He said in the lawsuit:

“The defendant continued to detain the applicant to bring huge difficulties and mental stress to the applicant, his wife, children, and other family members.”

This lawsuit is part of the greater conflict

Tigran Gambaryan, head of the compliance compliance of Anjarwalla and Binance, was detained on February 26.Gambaryan went to the country from the United States to participate in the company’s defense of tax evasion and money laundering.

Cases against Binance have always been the root cause of the tension between the United States and Nigeria.

U.S. citizen Gambaryan filed a lawsuit against the National Security Agency and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, respectively.Gambaryan’s appeal will be tried on July 9.Krukrubo is still the representative of Gambaryan.

Anjarwalla has the dual nationality of the United Kingdom and Kenya. He is still staying in Kenya, and Nigeria is trying to extradite it.
