My experience of airdrop

Author: Daoshuo Blockchain

In the past few days, the zkSync incident has been fermenting online.I saw many pushers even put pressure on XAn and OK directly, hoping that these two exchanges would express their opinions.

In addition, the zkSync Chinese community also publicly expressed its attitude, revealing helplessness and sadness in its tone, and said that more details and information will be disclosed in the future – relatively speaking, the subsequent speech of this community isI’m looking forward to seeing it.

Judging from the overall development of the incident, the room for recovery of this matter is probably very limited. Therefore, for the majority of participants, it is more important to take appropriate measures and not to make similar mistakes in other subsequent activities.

However, I still saw many pushers saying: I have suffered heavy losses on zkSync, so I will abandon my fantasy and go all out to fight the next hair-pulling position—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–After these experiences, I still use this “to do your best” and “do everything” method unswervingly, so I can only wish them good luck.

I started consciously after Arbitrum.

At that time, my friend once mentioned to me: Should we form a team ourselves, open a bunch of numbers, and do this specifically.

But because of my usual lazy personality, this matter was not taken shape in the end.But this proposal also reminded me that I felt it was necessary to do this: on the one hand, it would make myself familiar with the latest applications, and on the other hand, it would also make some fucks.

So I decided to participate in it casually.

My overall situation is limited time, limited energy, and limited financial resources.

Based on this situation, the strategy I set for myself is:

Only work hard on three accounts, select the main applications, focus on depositing funds, and occasionally see new applications to participate in interaction.

The so-called “three accounts for meticulous cultivation” refers to:

I used three Argent X and three Little Fox accounts to participate in each well-known Ethereum layer 2 expansion after Arbitrum.

The so-called “selected main applications” refer to:

In each second layer extension, I focused on only two types of projects: DeFi and NFT.

In DeFi, I focus on selecting the top three DEX and lending applications on each chain.

The so-called “mainly based on precipitation funds” means:

For each DEX, I mainly provide three types of liquidity and rarely conduct token trading:

The earliest ones provided were trading pairs between WBTC and ETH;

Later, after a large number of ETH-derived assets appeared (such as stETH, ezETH,…), I replaced WBTC and ETH with trading pairs of ETH-derived assets and ETH (such as stETH-ETH, ezETH-ETH,…….).;

Finally, there are trading pairs between stablecoins and stablecoins (such as DAI-USDC).

I chose these trading pairs mainly to avoid impermanent losses.

For each lending application, the interaction frequency of my lending is not high, mainly providing two types of collateral assets: one is ETH derivative assets (such as stETH, ezETH, etc.) or ETH, and the other is stablecoins.

The so-called “once occasionally seeing new applications participate in interaction” refers to: mainly participating in the issuance of new NFTs.

These new NFTs are new projects I saw on Twitter. In fact, 99% of these projects are meaningless, and they are purely for the convenience of participants to release projects. But their advantage is that it is extremely cheap and almost negligible.

This is how I participate in these Ethereum layer 2 expansions.

However, during the process of participating, I was too lazy to do the following two types of operations:

One type is to bind your personal Twitter account and Discord account.I am very lazy about this kind of interaction and am too lazy to operate a bunch of zombie accounts specifically for fleece.

The other type is personality proof, typical of which is Linea’s POH.I’ve all reached the crypto ecosystem, and I’m still doing this kind of thing? It’s so annoying.Since Linea got this POH, I have never been too lazy to participate in all interactions related to this, unless it is some particularly fun and interesting interactions.

In addition to the above operations, I do not have to interact once a week as many users on the Internet suggest, and what operations between different accounts must be 24 hours apart to prevent being witches…

I just saw and thought of it casually, and interacted with it. And I manually interacted with all three accounts at once, but I never used any script to automate the homework.

The effect I got from this operation is as follows:

Starknet airdrop, all three Argent X’s accounts were wiped out.

But to my surprise, my Github account received relatively generous returns.I guess it may be because I have participated in the construction of several projects in the Ethereum ecosystem.

Looking back, it was completely unintentional to participate in the construction of these projects, and it was purely because I was interested in it because I found it fun under the leadership of my seniors in the circle. In that era, there was no such thing as airdrop in the crypto ecosystem, and even Uniswap was just released.

Although Starknet airdropped my wallet account and was wiped out, I did not summarize any lessons and improve my anti-witch skills like many people on the Internet. I still remain the same, how did I operate it in the past and how did I operate it later.

By this time zkSync airdrop, all three of my little fox’s accounts were airdropped, and the number was beyond my expectations, but my Github account had nothing.

For the remaining few Ethereum layer 2 expansions, my operations will not change, and the result will be completely as fate.I will definitely not waste too much unnecessary resources and energy to do these things specifically.

As for the previous airdrops I will not sell for the time being, and the trading pairs and collateral assets I left in those chains will not be raised, and will continue to be kept in it, because these airdrops and assets may help get them.Airdrop to future projects.

I hope my experiences will be of some help to everyone.

Finally, I still want to emphasize again: when doing these things, we should try to be less utilitarian, more curiosity and desire for exploration, and God will give us luck.Even if you are unlucky this time, you will be lucky next time.
