Eric Trump, the second son of U.S. President-elect Trump, said a set of “reasonable” regulatory guidelines could help the U.S. become a cryptocurrency superpower.
Monday (October 9), local time,Eric said in an interview with the media in Abu Dhabi, UAE that he has long been a big fan of cryptocurrencies, and his father intends to “make the United States the world’s cryptocurrency capital” after returning to the White House.
Recently, some investors have become increasingly convinced that the new U.S. administration will seek to consolidate the crypto industry’s position in the financial markets, especially as Trump nominates cryptocurrency supporter Paul Atkins to serve as the Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) Chairman.
This decision directly “ignited” the Bitcoin market.According to Bitstamp’s quote, the price of Bitcoin rebounded back to above the $100,000 mark intraday and has now fallen back to around $98,000.From the beginning of the year to the present, Bitcoin has risen by more than 137%.

Asked if Trump is considering taking regulatory measures or deregulation in the crypto space and what these potential policies will look like in practice, Eric replied: “It looks transparent. That’s the truth.”
“What people in the crypto industry are frustrated is that no one has ever made a reasonable plan on how to regulate the industry. We will have a clear roadmap and hope the rest of the world can follow suit. Hopefully we can truly become the world’s crypto superpower.”
Speaking of Musk, Eric compared the world’s richest man to “contemporary Einstein”, saying he will play an important role in formulating the White House’s future policy agenda.Previously, Musk was appointed by Trump to jointly lead the proposed “Ministry of Government Efficiency”.
“I think we want to see efficiency, we want to see a productive society, we want to see real innovation again. We want to see governments stop hindering big businesses, letting businesses thrive and capitalism play a role.”
