The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has sued Elon Musk, saying the world’s richest man has not disclosed that he had acquired “benefit ownership” of Twitter in early 2022, so he can buy stocks at a lower price.
The SEC was sued in federal court in Washington, D.C. on January 14, claiming that Musk disclosed his holdings of Twitter (now X) shares, allowing him to “continue to buy stocks at a low price” and “pay at least $150 million under the low price”
Musk responded strongly to this matter:
“The SEC organization is already sucked.
When so many crimes are not punished, they spend their time on these boring things.”
Musk’s lawyer Alex Spiro said:
“The SEC’s years of harassment campaign against Musk ended up leading to a tricky complaint.
Today’s action is the SEC admitting that they are looking for trouble.
Musk did nothing wrong, and everyone thought it was a scam.”
As the melon-eating crowd in our encryption circle, it is quite good to see the SEC war between Musk.
Before, when the crypto projects were targeted by the SEC, they were fined obediently. Now Musk and the SEC, who are in charge of the power of laying off life and death in the US government, fought head-on at this critical point, which will help kill the SEC’s arrogance.
However, the current SEC leadership has been unable to make it a few days. When Trump takes office next week, several committee members, including Chairman Gensler, will resign.
The people who are replaced by Trump will be their own people, and many lawsuits that the leaders in office will be left unresolved.
So it is very interesting to sue Musk at this point in time, it means to disgust you~
Musk faces more challenges ahead, according to a survey by the Napolitan Institute/RMG Research Institute, 80% of federal government administrators who voted for Harris said they would boycott the Trump administration’s efforts. And only 1% said they would support him to a certain extent.
Musk’s current top Twitter is like a fighter, saying “the huge federal bureaucracy, the fourth government department that violates the constitution will do everything possible to obstruct the will of the people.”
(The fourth government department refers to interest groups outside of legislation/judicial/law enforcement, editor’s note)
