Originally called Frame, Abstract is Layer 2 (L2) for NFT users, focusing on built-in liquidity and royalty systems.Then in June 2024, Igloo Inc., the parent company of Pudgy Penguins, acquired Frame and renamed it Abstract.The upcoming L2, which emphasizes a smooth user experience through account abstraction, has expanded its focus to all consumer cryptocurrencies, from decentralized social to on-chain gaming.
Why pay attention
The Frame team’s initial goal is to launch their mainnet and FRAME token airdrops on January 31, 2024.These plans are obviously put on hold, but if you were one of the original FRAME applicants, these “pre-existing rewards will be cashed in Abstract’s native incentive system” according to the builders.This shows that the Abstract token is coming soon, and it should be worthy of attention given the talent within and around the Abstract team.
Magic Eden
Over the past year, Magic Eden has become a strong challenger to OpenSea, the NFT market segment, with impressive user, revenue and transaction volume data.While it was initially one of the top choices for Solana NFT transactions, the platform’s recent growth can be attributed to its continuous expansion and becoming a leading center for emerging scenarios such as Bitcoin Ordinals and the underlying NFT.

In August 2024, Magic Eden announced the development of its irreplaceable DAO and $NFT efforts into ME Foundation and $ME.The upcoming token will promote governance of the Magic Eden protocol and inspire users to try out Magic Eden’s products.It is worth noting that $ME can only be collected on mobile devices through the Magic Eden wallet, and test tokens will be launched in-app this month to let users understand how the collection process works.That being said, if you haven’t downloaded your wallet yet, now is a good time to download.
Nifty Island
Nifty Island is a multiplayer virtual world designed to provide the NFT community with game created by players, from battle royale to racing.Users can upload and shake custom 3D avatars, or use some popular NFT-supported templates such as Pudgy Penguins, Miladies, and Mad Lads.

Nifty Island launched the Play-to-Airdrop (P2A) campaign for the upcoming $ISLAND token in January 2024.In a recent announcement of support for Solana wallet, the Nifty Island team confirmed that the P2A window will be closed on November 1, 2024, so there are still weeks to dig deeper before that.Additionally, Magic Eden and Nifty Island have just released some collaborative tasks for Magic Eden Wallet users, so this is a double blow opportunity to improve your $ME and $ISLAND qualifications.
Shape
Shape is a brand new L2 for artists and collectors.Shape is created by the team behind NFT curatorial platform Deca, aiming to inspire creators to use their networks through its Gasback system, where artists and applications can obtain 80% of the L2 sorter generated by users using their smart contracts.cost.
Why pay attention
As we all know, most L2s will eventually be spread to the community through token airdrops.While there are no officially announced plans yet, Shape seems to follow this popular trajectory as well.The network also has its custom Stack NFT that continues to evolve as you move on Shape.These NFTs have the potential to be used as anti-witch attack mechanisms to determine the empty investment space of future real users.
Zora
Zora is a media and market protocol used to create and collect NFTs, designed as a hyperstructure that runs indefinitely on-chain.Both the zora.co platform and the Zora mobile app are available without the need for cryptocurrency or wallets, which act as the front end of Zora’s social networking.In June 2023, Zora also launched the Zora network as Ethereum L2 built specifically for NFT creatives, and since then, the chain has received 250,000 daily active users and over $3 million creators.

When Zora Network was first launched, Zora co-founder Jacob pointed out: “I think this may have to wait until more breakthroughs happen, and now we’re just going to work hard to build the best products and tools.”Arrived?This remains to be seen.There are rumors that the “Zora Foundation” domain names have been registered recently, but they appear to be fake.That said, Zora will release a token when it’s ready, and as one of the best NFT applications and the best NFT chains today, I’m glad to see what they’ll do when they’re ready.
