A new HBO documentary aired on October 8 hints that it discovers the real Satoshi Nakamoto, the inventor of Bitcoin’s pseudonym.
While this may be a marketing trick, the statement has once again sparked speculation about who might be the inventor of Bitcoin.
Some people think that Nick Szabo may be the real Satoshi Nakamoto, an American cryptographer, legal scholar and computer scientist who has made a huge contribution to the blockchain field since the early 1990s.
That is, Saab contributed to blockchain before Bitcoin appeared.
Saab graduated from the University of Washington in 1989 with a degree in computer science. He also holds a J.D. from George Washington University School of Law.
In 1994, Saab introduced the term “smart contract” to bring legal protection into the digital realm through code.Smart contracts later became the foundation of the broader blockchain industry.
In 1998, Saab proposed a new form of currency called “Bit Gold”.Saab’s bit gold is different from other currencies because it is completely digital, requires no intermediary and solves the double payment problem with proof of work.
Saab’s Bit Gold network uses a proof-of-work encryption solution chain, but relies on address quorum rather than quorum for computing power to reach consensus. This is said to make bit gold vulnerable to Sybil attacks.
Saab continues to describe his theoretical currency reason this way: “I thought of bit gold a long time ago. In short, the problem is that our money currently relies on trust in third parties to get its value. As in the 20th centuryMany inflation and hyperinflation events show that this is not an ideal state.”
If you know something about Bitcoin and it all sounds familiar, you are not the only one to find similarities.Bitcoin gold is widely regarded as one of the main predecessors of Bitcoin.
In October 2008, 10 years after Saab first proposed “Bit Gold”, Satoshi Nakamoto released the Bitcoin white paper.
Speculations about Satoshi’s true identity are almost as old as Bitcoin itself, but over the years, many competitors have emerged, with Sabo being the most popular.

Len Sassaman was the first early contender, but Saab has already taken an absolute lead. His odds are in double digits, while other competitors remain in single digits.
There are several reasons why Nick Sabo became Satoshi Nakamoto, some of which we have mentioned.
The first is the invention of Bitcoin Gold, a cryptocurrency proposed by Nick Saab but never implemented, but it has many conceptual similarities with Bitcoin.Although the concept of Bitcoin is a bit rough compared to Bitcoin, isn’t it possible for Saab to do this given that he has ten years to eliminate these rough things?
The second is Saab’s wider contribution to blockchain and cryptocurrencies, demonstrating his capabilities and value. There is no doubt that Saab has at least the technical ability to become a competitor to Satoshi Nakamoto.
In his book “Bitcoin: The Future of Currency? In 》, the author Dominic Friesby believes that Sabo and Satoshi Nakamoto’s writing styles are very similar. In addition, both quoted economist Carl Menger.
As we all know, Sabo is very concerned about privacy, and Satoshi Nakamoto is said to have a similar tendency.
Finally, Saab denies himself at every turning point, in stark contrast to those who claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto. If history only teaches us one thing about Satoshi Nakamoto, it is that those who claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto are almost certainly not.
